LMS Compound Version 2

The LMS Compound was built in the 1920s and 1930s by the LMS railway, a slight variation on the older Midland railway type. The loco was developed to give extra power, to enable fast climbs over some of the more hilly Midland railway routes, notably the Settle and Carlisle and Ambergate – Manchester route
